MAKE LOVE NOT WAR
That was the motto in the 60s/70s! The age of Aquarium. The Flower Children. Hippies!
I would have loved to live in that era! I seriously think I was born at the wrong time... I would have enjoyed living in the 60s/70s so much... It was rife with protests. Young people of back then actually had something to stand for and they made sure that they were heard!
South Africa was deep in the throes of apartheid and America was pushing its way into Vietnam.
My favourite part about the 60s/70s is the hippies (this is in America now)!! Those people were full of love, man. It was all about the love... and drugs.
I feel that some people just did the whole hippie thing to dabble in the drugs...
Old school America hated them. Apparently they were good-for-nothing bunch of idiots who would amount to nothing. Oh, how wrong they were! The hippies were the ones who stared the PEACE revolution that has had young people all over the world trying to start their own revolutions to this day!
It was the hippies who organised one of the most amazing, most psychedilically awesome concert to top all other concerts: WOODSTOCK!
A large group of young people descened upon a small town called Woodstock. Hundreds of cars showed up, filled with peace-loving drugged up hippies. It was meant to be small concert but people just came and it turned out to be the most fantastic concert in history! All in the name of PEACE.
Young People from back then totally knew what they wanted and they actually stood up for what they believed in... Sorry but the youth od today (as the old people would say)....
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
